Passionate that everyone should have access to quality dental care, Dr. Alana served as a dentist at a local a non-profit dental center, providing oral health services to those in need in Santa Cruz County. After becoming Dental Director of the organization, she continued her work on a larger scale by creating mobile dental programs that deliver on-site care to low income students, pregnant women and seniors in the Santa Cruz area- so those individuals do not have to take time off of work and school, or wait for transportation to get the care they need.

Outside the dental office, Dr. Thompson can be found riding bikes with her husband and their two sons, outrigger canoe and stand-up paddling, or curling up with a good book.
